iPhone Game Of The Week

This weeks featured iphone game is Bubble Trouble

iphone game of the week

In theory that is a relatively simple iphone game. You need to find at least three colors/shapes that are touching and once clicked they vanish. whether you’re able to visit on a group of more than three you can obtain combos and earn more points. The object of the game is to clear the boards and by doing so get the most possible points.

Once you reach a point in the

board where no further combos can be obtained new bubbles will seem. that will continue to happen until no more combos exist and therefore the game is by.

The trick to that game is to look at the board for the best combinations. Anticipate what each move will do for your next move. Play smart and you’ll get hooked.

Our personal best so far is 2980

Give it a try and let us know your high score.

First Karaoke prototype in your Apple iPhone: TuneWiki

Recently in Installer’s repository has arised new utility — TuneWiki.

This application is an alternative musical player for your iPhone. What TuneWiki can do:

1. It can find by name the author and the name of music track, its text on their software server;
2. Together with the music track’s text TuneWiki loads timing (when what line of a song to display, subtitles to movies work similarly);
3. After that TuneWiki plays music track and display the text of that track (almost like in karaoke)

If timing for a music track is absent, you will be offered to switch lines of a music track during playback.

And, whether you thus listen a music track up to the end, your generated timing will be loaded on a server and saved, and other users can listen that music track with

text and with your timing. whether during listening of a music track the user considers, that flowing timing is wrong, he can build re-sync and rewrite it anew.

Thus, the community will generate a database with texts of different music tracks from all by the world.

TuneWiki exists is developed for Windows users, with similar described by functionality + possibility of texts loading/editing.

Database consists of thousands of texts for the majority of popular music tracks.

TuneWiki restrictions:
* Does not support Russian-speaking names of music authors and music tracks;
* The operate of saving of yours timings will work, only whether you will be registered on their website of the program and to specify in TuneWiki options your login.

Just my type

iPhone Typing TestTyping on the iPhone may not be as poor as we expected, but I think even the best iPhone typists among us will agree that it’s nowhere near as fast as typing on a full keyboard (I mean, ten fingers versus two thumbs? No contest!).

Still, whether you’re curious to see just how speedy you are when it comes to inputting text, check out the iPhone Typing Test. Just visit on the anatomy field and type something of any length. When you’re finished, hit the “Done” button on the keyboard, and the experiment will tell you how many words you typed, how expanded it took

you, and what your approximate word per minute score is. I managed a 41 wpm in both landscape and portrait (with one error both times), which is I believe slightly less than half what I can type on a real keyboard.

So, while I don’t think I’ll be working on my novel on the iPhone any instance soon (and, unless I want to write it on the web or in Notes, that’s not much of an option anyway), but for tapping out emails, 41wpm seems perfectly respectable. How about it folks, how did you do?

Is Apple iPhone the main target behind Microsoft-Yahoo! Pact?

The technology market is afire with news of Microcrosoft acquiring another giant Yahoo!. But industry experts find it hard to consider it merely an acquisition bid for just the money coming from advertisements. Besides benefitting from Yahoo!’s online capabilities, they believe that ‘Microsoft has had more success with mobile operating systems than in mobilizing its Internet (http://macdailynews.com/index.php/weblog/comments/16284/) properties; and experts feel that Yahoo! Go platform would work extremely well for Microsoft.

iphone

Now, talking of market share, Apple which is said to have shipped nearly 4 million iPhones in 2007 with the target of achieving 10 million sales in 2008 has been one of the prime promoters of the Multitouch technology. Microsoft on the other hand says it will ship around 20 million smartfones in 2008 for Windows Mobile (http://macdailynews.com/index.php/weblog/comments/16284/).

While experts consider Apple a much innovative challenger gaining a considerable mindshare over market shares. It regular innovation and upgradation of the iPhone since its launch in mid- 200 7 has been a constant threat to competitors like technology giants like Microsoft.

Therefore, this

coming together of Microsoft and Yahoo! is like sending a signal out to Apple iPhones of a probable market redistribution. However, Apple is all set to take the challenge, as it launced its 16 GB double storage capacity iPhone model, upgrading from the usual 8GB and that too at attractive prices with the hike of just $100. Now you can buy a 16 GB memory iPhone with just $499 while a 8GB model is available for $399.

It is expected that Apple will leave no stones unturned to maintain the sizable market share it is enjoying, even if the threat of a Microsoft-Yahoo! attempt to take on Apple iPhones. Moreover, Apple is also contemplating expanding iPhones worldwide market share from countries it holds presently – United States, UK, Germany to countries like Italty, Spain and Switzerland in the coming months.

Reports indicate that Apple Inc’s usage share of mobile devices online is rapidly-growing at the rate of 0.17% which is almost triple that of Microsoft’s stagnant rate of 0.06%, which stays affected since the launch of Apple iPhone in June 2007.
